I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on different e-books and videos, and hours upon hours of research, to determine which guides work and offer the best “bang for the buck”. There are several good DIY systems out there, but I tell you what, after reading through the manual and watching the videos, I am impressed! I originally used the Earth 4 Energy system to build my windmill and solar panels, but after reading Green DIY Energy, I’m ready to start all over again on some new ones!
What’s Included “in the box”:
-
How-to energy guide - Introduction to creating electricity on a small scale, how to find solar cells for free or at a reduced cost, where to get your materials and how to maintain your solar panel system.
- How-to build your own solar panel – Detailed plans, instructions, diagrams and images. The panel in these instructions cost only $94 for parts.
- How-to mount and install your solar panels – Gives you several options for installing your panels and step-by-step professional intructions to help you finish the installation correctly.
-
Instruction videos – Clear, concise, easy to follow and entertaining; these videos make it look easy!
- How to build your own wind turbine – This guide will show you how to build one for less than $140.
-
Energy Consumer Guide- Guide to help you determine how much you can save with solar power energy.
- Solar tax credits and rebates
- Unlimited membership and updates for life
- E-mail technical support and support forum
I’ve mentioned in my other reviews that 200 watt solar panel units can cost as much as $1000 to $1500, but most of that cost is in labor or assembly. If you are willing to do the labor, (usually a weekend to put a couple of solar panels or 1 wind turbine together), you reduce your cost to much less than $200 rather than thousands of dollars. The assembly can be intimidating especially when you are working with expensive materials. I didn’t want to break anything during assembly or hook it up the wrong way and ruin the whole project. That’s why instruction videos are so important to me because it SHOWS me exactly how to do what the instructions, photos, and illustrations are telling me. The videos in the Green DIY Energy system are excellent and proves once again to me that you do not have to be a professional to make your own energy, anyone can do it!
If you decide to wire your energy system into your house, whatever electricity you don’t use goes back into the grid. When you are generating more power than what you are using, your electrical meter will run backwards! If you’ve given back more energy than you’ve used your power company will pay you instead of you paying them. They don’t pay nearly as much as you do however and you may want to store that power in deep cycle batteries. (Wiring your system into your local power grid will require installation by a certified electrician).
Summary:
From scratch to the finished product, this guide is all inclusive and explains everything and is a breeze to read. The illustrations are neat, professional and easy to follow. The videos are actually fun to watch and quite entertaining as well as educational.
One of the most important things that this system offers that the others lack, is customer support through e-mail and membership to a Green DIY Energy’s interactive forum where users can show and discuss their progress, challenges and solutions etc.
I also appreciate that Green DIY Energy is a member of the American Solar Energy Society and the Better Business Bureau. All transactions are made through a third party called ClickBank where you have a 60 day 100% moneyback guarantee.
Conclusion:
After reviewing all the materials and reading the guides I have to say Green DIY Energy has really done a great job at creating a fine-tuned, well-polished product! Earth 4 Energy was #1. Now Green DIY Energy is #1! They’ve taken everything good about all the other guides and created a better product. If you are still on the fence, get off and go take a look!
